Former England cricketer, Matthew Hoggard, was the guest of honour and presented the prizes at the end of term Sports Presentation Evening.

The capacity audience was wowed by opening dance and gymnastic displays by students in a tribute to PE Teacher and Head of Pastoral Care, Mrs Axe, who has retired after teaching at the School for 35 years.

After welcoming the guests, Mr Roberts and Miss Smith handed over to the Sports Captains to deliver their reports and then Matthew Hoggard presented the awards and colours.  Following the presentation of the Sportsperson of the Year Award to popular winner, Mutazz Hassanbek, the evening wrapped up with a Vote of Thanks and a slideshow of the year in pictures.

Mr Meadows was delighted to welcome Matthew Hoggard to the School and hear him talk so passionately and entertainingly about hisdetermination to succeed and follow his dreams.  He also thanked  the event sponsors, Remark Group.
