Outstanding results were achieved by a large number of Year 11 students who are celebrating after a third of them achieved an impressive 8 or more A* or A grades - and 23% of all candidates gained this in 10 or more subjects.

In total, over half of all the grades were at A* or A (51%) and more than three quarters were at A*, A or B (77%).

This year's cohort of Computer Science students will be particularly pleased, with 88% of them getting A* and 92% of the grades in biology, chemistry and physics were at A* or A.

The Headmaster was delighted that the students' work has been rewarded:  "Many congratulations to all the students on these excellent results; I am so delighted their hard work has paid off.  I am very pleased for the large number who have achieved the top grades across their subjects and will all the students well as they move on to the next stage of their education".
