Top Chef In School To Give Competition Tips

Fred Muddiman, Executive Head Chef at the Holiday Inn, Peterborough, visited School to oversee the culinary preparations

Fred Muddiman, Executive Head Chef at the Holiday Inn, Peterborough, visited School to oversee the culinary preparations of two students who are soon to compete in a Rotary Club cookery competition.

Year 10 students, William Coulson and Sophie Leggott, have been selected to represent the School and are now in the final stages of preparing their meals.  Fred worked with them in the Food Technology room, giving cooking and presentation hints which will hopefully give William and Sophie a competitive edge.

In addition, in order to familiarise themselves with cooking in a professional kitchen, Fed has invited William and Sophie to the Holiday Inn kitchens where he will help them with their final preparations for the competition.

Competition organiser and teacher of Food Technology, Gill Mason, was extremely grateful to Fred for giving us his time and sharing his expertise and is now looking forward to William and Sophie perfecting their dishes.
