In today's assembly, we were delighted to present Carole Hughes of charity, Anna's Hope, with a cheque which represented the total amount raised from the year's fundraising of £6509.50.

Carole and her husband, Rob, set up Anna's Hope to support children and young people with brain tumours after their daughter Anna lost her battle at age three years and eight months.  Carole and Rob live locally and we were delighted to dedicate last year's annual fundraising to their charity.  All funds raised by School events last year, including the Fashion Show and Appeals Day, went to Anna's Hope and, as this was also the main charity for the Great Eastern Run, the sponsorship money which people from School raised from their running and participation in that also went to Anna's Hope.

Carole was delighted and extremely grateful for the massive amount which everyone had worked so hard to raise.  In an emotional thank you, she said she felt she had become very close to the School and wished us all well for this year's very worthy cause, the building of the Kenyan School.

Thank you to everyone who contributed in so many ways, from cake making to catwalk modelling and everything in between, for this huge charitable donation.
