Three Year 11 students successfully negotiated their way through the first round of the English Speaking Union's Public Speaking competition held at Uppingham School this week.  Alice Creedon, Sidney Thomas and Serena Ward beat off stern competition from Uppingham and Oundle and now move forward to the next round, which will be held at Oakham Castle.  Serena was particularly commended for her performance as Speaker at this week's event.
